Brandon Ascari

BRANDON ASCARI has worked as a Producer, Director, Cinematographer, Sound Mixer, and Editor for over 10 years. His work has received critical acclaim locally in New York City and around the world. His works have screened at art museums in Krakow, Poland, film festivals in Bangkok Thailand and the Anthology Film Archive in New York City. He has worked with the likes of David Naughton, Lloyd Kaufman, and John Dugan, just to name a few. Inspired by his father, a professional Ballroom Dancer, Brandon brings his love of the arts and cinematic flair to all of the work he does.

Andrea Buffaloe

ANDREA E. BUFFALOE (Andy) attended SUNY Plattsburgh University for her B.A. in Mass Communication, as well as Brooklyn College for her M.A. in TV/ Radio Management.  Andy was a Graduate Intern Producer at AOL Time Warner; Studio Technician, Quality Control, and Master Control Operator at QVC/Q2, News 12 Long Island and Westchester, and CNN/fn; Robotic Camera Operator at Metro Networks. Production Assistant at Manhattan Film Festival, Zoomari Films, and White Rabbit Productions' film, Love Bites.

Nathan Cox

NATHAN COX is a screenwriter and director. He has directed the short films A Visit From Santa, Mantiswoman and Pandora's New Box.  He has written several screenplays, a musical, and is developing an animated series with his sister Julianna.  Nathan is also the author of the books "101 Monumental New York City Events" and "The 100 Most Remarkable Careers in Television." He is the author of the blog The Best Movies You've (Probably) Never Hear of (  Nathan lives in New York City.

Joseph A. Eulo

JOSEPH A. EULO is an independent media producer and freelance filmmaker from the Greater New York City Area. He is the owner of First Frame Films & Media, a collaborative production and design agency that helps businesses and organizations tell their stories. Joseph has collaborated on over one-hundred different projects, from narratives, documentary, episodic, to music videos and live streaming projects. Performing many roles on and off set, Joseph has over 15 years experiences working as a Director, Cinematographer, Location Sound recordist/mixer, 1st AD, UPM, Set Photographer, Script Supervisor, Sound Designer and Video Editor.

Catherine Fisher

CATHERINE FISHER designs costumes for theater, dance, film, and television, is a member of the Lincoln Center Director's Lab, a New York State Counsel for the Arts Individual Awards recipient, and has been recognized in Theater and Film Festivals.  Catherine is also a founding member of Honest Accomplice Theatre.

Neeko Freeman

NEEKO FREEMAN is a composer, screenwriter, and sound designer from Baltimore, Maryland. She has worked on animations, films, and most recently, audio dramas.  Neeko  blends unique sounds and musical styles to create provoking pieces and designs. Mental health and advocacy are important to her, which is why she tries to touch on those subjects through her music and writing.  She  hopes to use her creativity and skills to create change and impact communities. Currently, she is working on an original audio drama and gearing up to release an original dual science fiction film and soundtrack.

Paris Holmes

PARIS HOLMES is a writer at heart who is capable of wearing multiple hats on set, whether it's directing, dping, gaffing, or pulling focus. His main focus is writing and directing, but he often works as a gaffer. Film Lighting is something he takes seriously and will go the extra mile to make sure the lighting on set is conveying the story. He's a football player and knows how to work with a team whether. 

Helene Galek

HELENE GALEK is a freelance casting director who specializes in the indie market. She has worked in all areas, including theater, film, live shows and voiceover. Her most recent projects include the original cast of the Off-Broadway hit Housewives of Secaucus, and the development of new musicals such as Rockquiem of a Heavyweight and Deep Secrets, and the award winning short film, "Jen, 28". As an actor, Helene recently shot the beginning episodes of an indie series, "Peri Street." As a writer, Helene won honorable mention for Best Play (her first one!) in the Nuyorican Poets Cafe Festival and was awarded a live performance this fall.

Ivan Markovsky

IVAN MARKOVSKY has composed original music for 3 feature films, and more than 20 shorts. His goal is not only to compose the music that "works with the picture,” but to develop the original concept for the whole soundtrack, and make movies he works on sound unique, and cohesive.  Ivan has also composed the original music for more than 400 television ads. Major brands include: Coca-Cola, Audi, Samsung, Dr. Diesel, Orbit, Eclipse, Snickers, Gillette, McDonalds, MasterCard, Johnnie Walker, Nestle, 7-up, Maggi, Nivea, KFC, Juicy Fruit, OBI, Renault, Lays, Sprite, Tele2, R.I.C.H., Starburst, Whiskas, Pepsi-light, Ariel, HubbaBubba, Citroen and many more.

Lauren McElroy

LAUREN McELROY, well known as Lauren Mac, has been in the beauty industry for over 10 years. Lauren's specialty is in hair artistry and makeup. For over 7 years, her love of production makeup and hair has grown and has been a part of many projects. Her pro-folio of work has been expanding in the areas of film and photography ever since her first gig 7 years ago. Nothing excites her more than making an impact with transforming a look for the jobs she’s involved in, continuing learning from her peers, and getting involved with new projects.

Belinda Mello

MELINDA MELLO is a Movement Specialist and Alexander Technique teacher, in practice since 1989. In addition to teaching at her own studio, AT Motion Center for Actors, she’s on the faculty of The Barrow Group, Terry Knickerbocker Studio. Belinda works one-to-one with actors developing roles on television or film (most recently: Why Women Kill, American Horror Story, The Good Fight) and stage (Hamlet at the Public, Torch Song, Ain’ too Proud). Belinda holds an MFA in directing and has a performance background in theater and dance (OBIE award-winning production). Her help is sought out to resolve issues with chronic tension or anxiousness as well as movement coordination and character transformation.

Lauren Ashley Orlando

ANDREA OCAMPO discovered her passion for filmmaking and world events at age 11, when she found a dusty camcorder in her parents' closet in Colombia. This eventually led to her formal study of politics and film, to her career at the United Nations, and ultimately, to her feature film debut, Starlit, which has garnered eight film festival wins to date, including Best Director at the Hudson River International Film Festival, and Best Cinematography at the Philadelphia Independent Film Awards.  When not writing or shooting, Andrea works fulltime in Media Production and Archiving at a global nonprofit.

LAUREN ASHLEY ORLANDO is an accomplished actor and singer with a wide variety of professional experience. Her extensive repertoire includes theatre- favorite characters ranging from community theatre to Off-Broadway, as well as commercials and daytime tv. Lauren graduated from Marymount Manhattan College with a Bachelor’s Degree in Acting and Musical Theatre. Here she had the pleasure of working on Bright Lights, Big City with Jason Gotay and Emmy Raver-Lampman.  Ms. Orlando has had the wonderful opportunity to work with many great teachers and directors such as Paul Gemignani, Charles Strouse, and Daren Cohen.

CHRISTOPHER WILLIAM PALMER is a game/film composer and trombonist from New York. He is originally from around Boston, MA where he also graduated from Berklee College of Music. In addition to writing and performing, Christopher also teaches music full-time in Harlem and after school at Mind-Builders in the Bronx. Andrew Rothkin

ANDREW ROTHKIN is thrilled to be making his feature film debut (as co-writer, director and executive producer) with A Thousand Miles. Andrew completed his first film, Love Bites, an extended-short black comedy/thriller,  released in early 2021. He has been has been writing, directing and producing theatre for 25 + years, as well as acting in all mediums, writing screenplays and episodic content, and working in supporting positions (production design, set decorator and PA work) for independent film.  Andrew is the artistic director and CEO of White Rabbit Productions, and has several works additional in development.

Saavgel Victoria

SAAVGEL VICTORIA is a freelance filmmaker who has been working professionally since 2014. Born and raised in the Dominican Republic and now living in the USA, he is fluent in both Spanish and English. In 2016, he graduated from the trading school INFOTEP in the Dominican Republic, obtaining his video editing certification. He then worked for a Dominican TV show called Bien de Bien as a video editor, photographer, and graphic designer. After moving to the USA in 2017, he went to film school for about two years to then start a video production business called “Xcentric Visuals.”

Jonathan Wallace

JONATHAN WALLACE, co-writer and the author of the play on which the film is based, lives in Amagansett, NY, where he watches hummingbirds at the feeder and stars, and sometimes works on a Mad Manuscript (now thousands of pages long) on the history of the idea of free speech.  Some of Jonathan's produced plays include Pawnshop Accordions and Autumn in Andromeda (The New York City Fringe Festival), and A Brief History of Thyme and Hummingbirds (Planet Connections Theatre Festivity).
